Revised Form I-129F

Jul 24, 2013

The I-129F form, which is for petition for alien fiancÚ(e), was revised to clarify language in some areas of the document and convert it from two columns to a single column format. USCIS has also added new data fields for passport or travel document information captured by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at a port of entry. CBP is in the process of automating Form I-94 Arrival/Departure Records to streamline passenger processing. This information will allow USCIS to verify status as part of the adjudication of Form I-129F.

Applicants may begin using the revised Form I-129F, Petition for Alien FiancÚ(e) today. Applicants may continue to use other previously accepted versions (Rev. 6/22/12) Y, (Rev. 6/14/10) Y, and (Rev. 2/19/10) Y until September 16, 2013 at which point no previous versions will be accepted.- LexisNexis Legal Newsroom
